Gardens by the Bay

I finally visited Gardens by the Bay!

Ever since it was opened to the public, I started hearing my friends saying about how gorgeous it is and all.

No doubt, the lightings are amazing.

It's a pity that it was pretty dark there so some pictures are quite blurry due to the lighting.

Okay whatever maybe I am just not professional enough lul.

I met up with Donovan and we took the train down to our destination!

Love love love love L O V E this photo so much.

I thought it was just a simple printed-on-the-board thing but when I took a closer look..

It's actually made out of small little plastic boards and when the wind blows, it gives this wavy effect!

Then we headed to this place with trees that resemble as animals. I wasn't even fascinated by most of it though.

I acutally find this really cute. Make a guess, what is it?

Secretly snapped Donovan hahaha, he was so obessed with the designs.

I totally freaked out when I saw bugs related stuff on the map, there were even worms and all.

Don persuaded me for 10 minutes (yes I am damn freaking afraid of bugs/worms etc) before I agreed in walking into the area with him and guess what.........

They don't literally have bugs or what so ever, they just have those machines which give out sounds of the insects -_-

Aren't they cute?!

I realized that I took many pictures of this gorgeous (just saying so cause of the lighting lul) tree thing.

I guess it's the main focus of the entire garden because wherever I go, I will definitely be able to see it.

You can actually walk around that tree and have a full view of the garden at the top of those trees, if you take look carefully at the pictures you can actually see people. I was so eager to go up there but you have to actually pay and we didn't had enough cash with us so yeah..

After walking for an hour and half, we got a little tired and hungry. I'm glad we didn't lost our way there, it's freaking huge.

After that, we headed to Old Airport Road for dinner. I was so freaking excited and happy, I was like telling Don about how I must get hold of the Lao Ban beancurd because everyone seems to be talking about it.

So yes, we managed to find the stall after searching it for good 15 minutes.

Frankly speaking, after tasting it.. It wasn't as great as I thought it'd be. I was expecting it to be super sweet and wobbly but it still tastes great, no doubt. Compared to the ones outside, this is definitely a winner.

If you've not tried it, don't worry you're not missing out much in life

After that, we proceeded to our main course hehe.

Donovan got himself Fried Hokkien Noodles

The chicken chop I ordered, for only $5.50 omg it tastes SO GOOD and it's super huge.

Not a huge fan when it comes to sugar cane but when Don ordered this for me, it actually tastes awesome. It's unlike the ones outside whereby it tastes sandy and having lots of white foam at the top. The taste is just nice.

We ended off with satay, omg yes lol the satay is SO GOOD too!!! Apparently, they do it fresh and on the spot unlike most of the satay shops outside - heating the satay up first, leaving it aside and heating it back only when someone orders.

It was a great day and i'd definitely visit the Old Airport Road again, it is like a food paradise there I swear.

WHAT ARE THE DIRECTIONS TO OLD AIRPORT ROAD?

First, take the MRT to Bayfront station (circle line).

Then, I am not going to continue....... USE YOUR GOOGLE MAP! :p

Have an awesome weekend guys. x
